Education is my passion, and I have always known that I wanted to be involved in the process of teaching students and preparing them for the future. As a member of the faculty of Lowndes High School for 29 years, I have been a mathematics teacher, instructional supervisor, Advanced Placement coordinator, and club sponsor before moving in to an administrative position. While teaching mathematics, I was named Lowndes High Teacher of the Year in 2005 and 2008, Lowndes County Schools District Teacher of the Year in 2009, and a Finalist for Georgia Teacher of the Year in 2010. I received my B.S. and M.S. in Secondary Education Mathematics as well as my Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. I am married to Chuck Pearson and have two awesome children, Brad and Andi.
Currently, I am working with the mathematics and guidance departments. I also work with student registration and the master schedule.
