A Perspective through the  eyes and mind of a  Military  Child....A Reason for and the Meaning behind  "Purple Up for Military Children"
by Student Cadet Olivia Balze
r

Being a military child, you understand what heartbreak is with every move, every goodbye to a friend, every first day at a different school, and every deployment of a loved one. You learn to live by the saying, "Home is where the heart is," because of the amount of places you have lived. You embrace change, not because you are unafraid, but because you have no other choice. However, because of all of this, it makes you closer with your family and learn to not take people for granted. It also gives you a better perspective of the world around you. In  the end, it ends up becoming such a big part of you, that you would never give it up.
