Aarin & Aarav Dave with Rep. Austin Scott, Principal Pearson, Superintendant Wilcher, Teacher Ms. Tindall, and parents

Lowndes High School brothers Aarin Dave (senior) and Aarav Dave (sophomore) have done it again — earning first place in Georgia’s 18th Congressional District Congressional App Challenge and advancing to the national level!

Over the past five years, the brothers have:

✔️ Won the competition four times

✔️ Placed second once

✔️ Created apps with a strong healthcare focus — all while still in high school

Their latest winning app, Inform ER, improves communication in emergency rooms by replacing paper signs with real-time digital displays that share critical patient information.

“The app is basically clear, real-time signage that’s posted outside of ER rooms,” Aarav said. “The goal is to provide information that’s crucial to patient care.”

Inspired by their combined 370 volunteer hours at SGMC Health, the brothers saw firsthand how fast-paced ER environments can be — and where technology could help.

“We saw how chaotic any emergency room can be,” Aarin shared. “We wanted to create something more streamlined.”

The brothers were recognized at a special ceremony at Lowndes High School with Congressman Austin Scott, who praised the Congressional App Challenge as one of the most prestigious student computer science competitions in the nation.

Next stop: Washington, D.C. 🇺🇸

Aarin and Aarav will represent Georgia’s 18th Congressional District this April, showcasing Inform ER to members of Congress and industry leaders. Their app will also be displayed at the U.S. Capitol and featured on the U.S. House of Representatives website.

Congratulations, Aarin and Aarav!
