Our AP Statistics students began their end-of-semester inference project with a data collection activity that left a strongly significant impression—sampling Bean Boozled jelly beans to test the claimed flavor ratios.
Using confidence intervals and significance testing, they bravely investigated whether the odds of getting a nasty flavor were really what the box said. They even talked Dr. Faircloth and Mrs. Page into helping sample a few beans!
Between “booger” and “dead fish” these students crunched the numbers while trying not loose their composure. Proud of their dedication to data—even when it tastes like “stinky socks.” 🤣

Anita's journey to the stage was no small feat — she first competed against students from all our local schools, then advanced to the next level, facing winners from five districts.
