Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of teaching your children. Public schools thrive because of community support, and we are so proud to serve our community.

Students, teachers, and leaders came together to celebrate I ❤️ Public Schools Day with the official proclamation signed during the joint presentation at the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners work session.
When schools, leaders, and communities come together, students win. ❤️🏫

Ms. Elmore’s Lit 1 class made a magical return to Westside Elementary on Monday, 12/15. Our high schoolers delivered a very special surprise to the Little Vikings in Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. McDowell’s first grade classes.
Earlier this semester, the first graders read If Your Monster Won’t Go to Bed by Denise Vega and drew their own bedtime monsters. Thanks to a generous LEIF grant-- and the incredible craftsmanship of From Sue with Love,-- those drawings were brought to life as custom 3D plushies!
But the storytelling didn't stop there. Ms. Elmore's students also wrote and illustrated original books for each class, so the first graders can now read to their new monster friends.
We are so proud of the creativity and mentorship shown by our students!

Mrs. Scruggs’ Intro to Business students put their branding skills to the test by designing their very own UGLY Christmas Sweaters! 🎄👕
While having fun with festive fashion, students learned how creativity, design, and brand identity come together in marketing. 🎉

Mr. Wilson’s, Coach Teehee’s, and Ms. Harrison’s classes teamed up this week to collect data for their end-of-semester Statistics Project. Students worked together to design surveys, gather information, and prepare for their final analysis. Proud of their teamwork and curiosity!
